Watch Father John Misty's New Puppet Fueled, Post-Apocalyptic World in His New Music Video
This is the fourth music video from Josh Tillman's (Father John Misty) new album Pure Comedy, that features the song "Things It Would Have Been Helpful To Know Before The Revolution". The music video uses stop animation and puppets to tell the tale of a post apocalyptic world drenched in hindsight. The lone human puppet is nailing post in the dessert that mirrors the warnings that Tillman is singing about. The puppet searches for phones through the landscape and this leads him to a destroyed town filled with human size rats and jamming cockroaches. The end of the video shows our hero linking up the phones in order to create a giant ad selling said phones. Even after the apocalypse, people are still trying to advertise.
Father John Misty's label, Sub Pop posted the video on their YouTube channel this morning. Tillman is currently on tour promoting Pure Comedy.
